Christopher Gruber

Christopher Gruber is an architect working in Vienna. He initially trained as a carpenter and studied art and architecture at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, with study residencies at the Bartlett School of Architecture (UCL) in London, and the Universidade do Porto (FAUP). Christopher Gruber's work is informed by diverse experiences in the fields of architecture, scenography, building projects, film, installation, and exhibition design. Together with Christina Ehrmann, he is co-founder of Atelier ehrmann:gruber, a collaborative and experimental practice for thinking and making space. Recently, they are part of a funded grant program of the Federal Ministry Republic of Austria Arts, Culture Civil Service and Sport. Besides his teaching in studio díazmoreno garcíagrinda at the Institute of Architecture at the Angewandte in Vienna, he is a research assistant within the research project "Raumpark Wien – Vienna in times of the new climatic regime" of the platform ESC – Ecology, Sustainability and Cultural Heritage at the Institute of Art and Architecture (IKA) at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna.
