Ana María León

Ana María León teaches architectural history and theory at the GSD. Her work traces how spatial practices and transnational networks of power and resistance shape the modernity and coloniality of the Americas. León is co-founder of several collaborations laboring to broaden the reach of architectural history, her work has been published widely. She is author of Modernity for the Masses: Antonio Bonet’s Dreams for Buenos Aires(2021) and A Ruin in Reverse / Bones of the Nation (2021). León is Associate Professor at the Harvard Graduate School of Design and 2024 Affiliated Fellow at the American Academy in Rome.
