Anousheh Gul Kehar (usa, ind/pak) is an architectural designer and researcher living in Vienna and Graz. Since March 2025, she has been part of the Studio Space Popular team at the Angewandte’s Institute of Architecture. Prior to that, she held teaching and research positions at the IZK Institute for Contemporary Art (TU Graz). Anousheh completed her B.A. in Art and Architectural History and Master of Architecture at the University of Houston, followed by a PhD at the Faculty of Architecture and Planning at TU Vienna—studying the shifting role of fire in settler-colonial California since the 20th century. Her work and activities reflect on anti-imperial liberation practices, abolition geography, and world-making. Spread across media and formats, her work is exhibited and published internationally.
