Chieh-Shu Tzou

Chieh-shu Tzou is an architect living and practicing in Vienna, Austria. He received his professional degree in architecture from the Technical University in Vienna and a master's degree in industrial design from the University of Applied Arts Vienna in 2006. In 2000 he returned to Taiwan to work in the fields of architecture and urban design. Between 2002 and 2005 he was an assistant instructor at the University of Applied Arts Vienna under Professor Borek Sipek. In 2005 he founded Studio9005 together with Conrad Kroencke and realized several commercial projects in Vienna. In 2007, he established Tzou Lubroth Architekten together with Gregorio Lubroth. Over the past ten years, the practice has established itself as a strong voice among a new generation of Viennese design. Its awards include two German Design Awards, an iF Award for interior design, two Big SEE awards, two Creative Club Austria awards, and three nominations for the National Design Prize. From 2016 to 2023 he lectured in the Department of Spatial & Sustainable Design at the Technical University in Vienna.
