Christina Ehrmann

Christina Ehrmann is an architect living and working in Vienna. She studied art and architecture at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, with a study residency at the Bartlett School of Architecture (UCL) in London, and received her master's degree with distinction. She was a research assistant within the research project "Raumpark Wien – Vienna in times of the new climatic regime" of the platform ESC – Ecology, Sustainability and Cultural Heritage at the Institute of Art and Architecture (IKA) at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. Diverse experiences in the fields of architecture, film, publication, building projects, installation, and exhibition design inform Christina Ehrmann's work. Besides her teaching in studio díazmoreno garcíagrinda at the Institute of Architecture at the Angewandte in Vienna, she is, together with Christopher Gruber, co-founder of Atelier ehrmann:gruber, a collaborative and experimental practice for thinking and making space. The complex relationships between living beings, objects and processes around us in space and the resulting practices, habits and rituals are the starting point for their exploration of space. With their film project "Terrestrial Gardens – A digital triptych", they are part of the Pixel, Bytes + Film program of ORF III and the Federal Ministry Republic of Austria Arts, Culture Civil Service and Sport.
