Galo Moncayo

Galo Moncayo has exhibited throughout the United States including New York and Washington DC, as well as in Germany, Mexico, France, Ecuador, among others.
From 2016-2020, Moncayo has been a visiting associate professor at the Estonian Academy of Art and a lecturer at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna in the Energy Design Department of the Institute of Architecture.
Previously he was an assistant professor of sculpture at Indiana University, Bloomington, where he ran the undergraduate and graduate sculpture programs. He has been invited as a visiting artist/lecturer at Carnegie Mellon University, George Washington University, among other universities in North America and in Germany. Moncayo received a masters in architecture from the master class of Zaha Hadid, a master of fine arts in sculpture from Virginia Commonwealth University and a bachelor of fine arts in sculpture from the Maryland Institute, College of Art in Baltimore, MD.
