Giacomo Pala

Giacomo Pala is a designer and a scholar. Assistant at the IoA/studio Jacob since 2023, he also works as a research associate at the at the faculty of Architecture of Innsbruck University. His interests lie at the intersection of Architectural theory, history and design, exploring the notion of syncretism in order to problematize today’s notions of identity and aesthetics in relation to wider cultural discussions within the field of architecture. He has also been exploring the topic of multiplicity, on an aesthetic and theoretical level, with several projects and installations, exhibiting his work in Vienna, Venice, Innsbruck, Vezprem, and elsewhere. He has previously been Visiting lecturer at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok (2020), collaborated with various offices, and tested his hypotheses through projects, publications, and book chapters.
