Hani Rashid is a practicing architect and co-founder with partner Lise Anne Couture of New York-based Architecture Design and Art practice Asymptote. Asymptote has produced several significant projects worldwide, ranging from key buildings, large-scale art installations to city masterplans. The iconic Yas Marina Hotel built above the Abu Dhabi Formula One Race Circuit is one of several critical cultural projects completed worldwide. The recently completed ING HQ in Gent Belgium and the ARC Multimedia Museum in Daegu, South Korea are two other significant projects designed by Asymptote. Presently the studio is developing a cultural complex in Vladivostock, Russia, that will house a new Hermitage and Tretyakov Museums and a new Mariinsky Concert Hall. Underway by Asymptote is a luxury resort in Tuscany Italy and the 60 stories Missoni Baia residential tower situated on Biscayne Bay in Miami.

Hani Rashid has a distinguished academic career having taught architectural design studios at the GSD at Harvard University, Princeton University, and the ETH in Zurich, Switzerland. Presently Hani Rashid is the founder and director of the Deep Futures Lab in Vienna at Studio Hani_Rashid, the University of Applied Arts. Hani Rashid along with partner Lise Anne Couture, received the Kiesler Prize in recognition of their contributions to the merging of Art Science and Architecture.
