Janis Stainhauser

Janis Stainhauser is an architect based in Vienna, Austria.
He studied architecture in Zurich and Stockholm and holds a degree in architecture from ETH Zurich after graduating with his master‘s thesis “Archaeology of the Adlisberg“ at Studio Tom Emerson.
He worked on competition and realisation projects in various architectural offices in Switzerland, including for Boris Gusic in Zurich, where he was a project manager for two years. Since 2023 he is working as an independent architect in various collaborations.
In 2024, his work was shown in a group exhibition at the Centre for Architecture in Zurich (ZAZ Bellerive).
He joined the Studio for Architectural Design of Prof. Sam Chermayeff at the University of Applied Arts Vienna as a teaching assistant in autumn 2024.
