Matthias Boeckl lives and works in Vienna, Austria. He studied art history earning his PhD at the University of Vienna in 1988. He is a professor of architectural history at the University of Applied Arts Vienna and editor-in-chief of architektur.aktuell magazine. He is the author and curator of numerous essays, books and exhibitions on modern and contemporary art and architecture.
