Cobe: Thomas Krarup (DK)

Thomas Krarup is trained as an architect from Academie van Bouwkunst i Amsterdam, NL, and The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts Schools of Architecture, Design and Conservation in Copenhagen, DK.

Thomas is one of Cobe’s five Project Directors and is part of Cobe’s management. He has headed a large number of Cobe’s most prestigious projects including Ragnarock Museum and Roskilde Festival Folk High School in Roskilde, DK, Nørreport Station in Copenhagen, and The Library in Copenhagen’s North-west district. Thomas has thorough knowledge of the challenges you meet when working with complex building structures and programs and a successful and effective track record for project delivery. Thomas is moreover capable of working through all phases of a project from sketch design to detailed design and execution, and has gained experience both locally and abroad.

COBE is a progressive and contemporary community of architects that focuses on architecture and design – from buildings to public space, to large scale urban planning. Today, COBE is two separate companies – one based in Copenhagen (headed by Dan Stubbergaard), and one in Berlin. Since its establishment, COBE has gained international recognition through the realization of innovative projects. In 2006 the firm won the Golden Lion at the 10th International Architecture Exhibition of the Venice Biennale for the project CO-Ecolution.
