Hani Rashid
Hani Rashid co-founded the New York-based collaboration Asymptote Architecture with Lise Anne Couture in 1989. The practice has been situated on the forefront of technological innovation in the field of architecture, having received numerous awards and recognition for visionary projects ranging in scale from art installations to building design to master planning. In 2008 Mr. Rashid served as the Kenzo Tange chair at Harvard University’s GSD and currently holds a visiting professorship at Princeton University. Asymptote is currently working on a broad range of commissions in the United States, Europe and Asia including a 100,000-square-meter master plan and building designs in Bergamo Italy, the Beukenhof Crematorium in the Netherlands, an eco-cultural master plan for Baku, Azerbaijan and a Museum of Contemporary Art in Istanbul Turkey.
