Rasa Navasaityte (lab-eds (USA))

Location: IoA Square

Rasa Navasaityte is an architect, researcher, co-founder of lab-eds, and Lecturer at the University of Texas at Austin. Her work explores the architectural potential of complex voids — human, non-human, and ecological — as compositional grounds for rethinking circular urban life. In her Ph.D. research, Between the Parts, she develops the Endless Plan, a computational design framework that uses artificial intelligence to navigate and spatialize urban complexity across scales.

Rasa investigates how emerging eco-technologies, such as vertical farming, water cycling, and carbon-sensitive infrastructures, can be humanized and integrated into public life, challenging the spatial segregation of nature, production, and density in today’s cities. Her research proposes new typologies that recompose urban neighborhoods as adaptive hubs — where food systems, public space, and ecological processes are not separated, but interwoven. From object-scale geometries to urban frameworks, her work explores how AI can prompt design imaginaries that merge social interaction, environmental intelligence, and infrastructure into living systems.
