Tülay Atak (I oA)

Tülay Atak is an architect, architectural historian, curator and theorist. Her current research focuses on the intersection between environmental history and architecture. She received her Bachelor’s degree at METU in Ankara, Turkey, and pursued her PhD at UCLA. 

Her scholarship and writing has appeared in books, journals and edited volumes such as Architectural Theory Review, OASE, Future Anterior, Invention d’une Architecte, Construction Savante, Fragile City and Pedagogical Experiments in Architecture for a Changing Climate. She has taught at SCI-Arc, Cornell, RISD, the Cooper Union, RPI, and Pratt Institute before joining the Angewandte in Vienna.
