We are delighted to announce that Margit Applegate was awarded the 2025 Forschungspreis für Architektur der Bundeskammer der Ziviltechniker:innen for her master’s thesis​“Reciprocal Refuges“.

Supervised by Sam Chermayeff, Applegate successfully completed her studies at the I oA of the University of Applied Arts Vienna in January 2025 with this thesis.

The award ceremony took place on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at the Architekturzentrum Wien (AZW).
