In the winter semester 2021 – 22 continuing the event series On Cities and Models of Beauty studio díazmoreno garcíagrinda is inviting guests to present their work to the students and discuss it afterwards. The second lecture entitled: Measure of Architecture will be held by Amin Taha of Groupwork.

The lecture will draw an arc between Protagoras and Sennett for the purposes of questioning how an ethical framework can give direction to skill and craft. With Vasari’s definition of idiosyncratic “manner” clarifying the etymology of architecture and craftsmanship, the process over product, Winckelmann’s dictum to follow “style”.
